Countdown to CRAFTfest
My blog desperately needs updating! I am a bad blogger :/
However I shall attempt to rectify that ASAP.
So let's start with the most important thing . . . it's nearly time for CRAFTfest :D
For those of you who don't know CRAFTfest is an online craft fair organised by Creative Connections. Taking place from 1st to the 8th of September, it's the place to be if you're interested in handcrafted products! If you like to buy handmade then all i can say is that you do not want to miss this event :D
You can look at over 180 stalls from the comfort of your own home, what could be better? :)
Please visit and have a look around as there will be a wide range of items on offer.

Flying The Flag
One of my friends commissioned me to make a beaded bracelet as a present for her other half, as he's from Egypt so she asked if I could use the colours of the Egyptian flag and incorporate his initials. I've been waiting until she'd given him it to post pics etc.
Once I'd looked at a picture of the flag I decided that the simplest thing to do was actually make the bracelet pretty much a replica of the flag but substituting the gold eagle in the centre with initials.
So this is the finished article:-
I was really pleased with how it turned out and, thankfully, the recipient liked it too! :D

Look at me!
My hairdresser is an absolute star and is currently displaying some bracelets for me in her salon :)
I knew that jewellery tree would be a good buy . . .

A Question of Display
I'd been looking for jewellery trees to use for display for quite a while and seen a few I liked but nothing that really appealed until I happened across one in, of all places, a garden centre.
This is it and I love it, it comes in black and pink too. I'm going to get the black one and may well end up with the pink one eventually who knows!

FANtastic - Calling All Kaniacs
After I'd made the spring themed bracelets I had so many ideas I just couldn't decide what to do next.
While I was making my mind up I tried out various things and whilst listening to the awesome Christian Kane suddenly wondered whether I'd been able to do a version of the "Kane" logo I messed around and came up with this:-
I'm pretty pleased with it and once various other things have been made I think I'll make a few and hopefully get some interest from my fellow Kaniacs :D
