Flying The Flag

One of my friends commissioned me to make a beaded bracelet as a present for her other half, as he's from Egypt so she asked if I could use the colours of the Egyptian flag and incorporate his initials.  I've been waiting until she'd given him it to post pics etc.

Once I'd looked at a picture of the flag I decided that the simplest thing to do was actually make the bracelet pretty much a replica of the flag but substituting the gold eagle in the centre with initials.

So this is the finished article:-

I was really pleased with how it turned out and, thankfully, the recipient liked it too! :D

New Year, New Commissions

4th of January and I've already been busy with a set of commissions.

They're all for the same person, no theme, well other than the colour purple.

Firstly I made one of the butterfly charm bracelets:-

Then I was asked to make a stretch beaded bracelet based on my "Biscuit Barrel" set but in shades along the lines of the "Purple Haze" set (cream and purple), together with a matching pair of earrings.

This is what I came up with:-

Then finally a beaded bracelet done on the loom, again in shades of purple:-

And there you have it, some lucky little lady will be getting these shortly:-
